Location, location, location

( ham radio style )

Well it all starting a long time ago ( feels like it anyway ), we moved away from our 2 bedroom house in Aberdeen to build a house out here in Auchnagatt.

Here we built our 3 bed roomed bungalow and then eventually installed my first Versa Tower with a 5 element beam for 6m and a 13 element for 2m.

This proved to be a superb location for VHF & UHF .

Then I went and got promoted and had to moved house.

We ended up buying a house in a village in Westmuir which is about 15 miles North of Dundee which had by nothing short of a miracle it’s very own ‘West tower’ ( it’s very much like a versa tower ) and antennas.

After 15 months we were all missing Auchnagatt and our family very much so we ended up where we are now.

It was a real shame as Westmuir was an even better location and I had really only got the radio room the way I wanted. It was a sad day for me when the mast was taken down .

So again after 2 years back in the village of Auchnagatt I have only now just got my radio room in order although I still have lots to do.

I will probably spent the next few years doing my odd jobs about the house now.
